Matt spent nearly three months there. The people are truly compassionate and genuinely dedicated to helping patients improve their health—there aren’t enough words to express our gratitude. If you’re looking for a caring and attentive rehab center in the Vancouver area, I highly recommend this one. Not only is the quality of care excellent, but they also take the time to understand each patient’s individual needs and support them in reaching their health goals. Thank you to everyone for the exceptional care.

Lacamas Creek Post Acute Care Center is in Camas WA. It is a nursing care center you can go to to recover from medical events that can happen to any one at any time all of a sudden without any warning. You have been here for almost 7 months. I have a nice room with 1 roommate, which I get along with. We have become friends, & Iam blessed to have her for a roommate. In any place you can go to you will find the that the nurses & CNA’s can be awesome & so helpful or someone who you don’t get along with. But for what ever the reason you end up at this center you will be accepted, helped, & asked to try to get help if you need help, talk to doctors & PA’s about what you need to work on, & councilors when things & life gets so overwhelming. They accept Medicare & Medicaid insurances. I already got my eyes examined by a eye doctor that came to the center to see me. I had to pay only $20.00 for my eye glass tint. The lenses, frame, eye exam & tests were all included. I love my new glasses & I think I look beautiful in them. It is nice to be able to see so much better & to be able to read a lot better. We have flat screened TV’s hanging around the wall mounted very safely. We have head phones to listen to TV at night if we can’t sleep well. We can call a nurse or can if we need help or to be cleaned up. I try to get my showers 2 times a week. They also have a gym you can go to for exercises. My favorite machine is a SiFit company that has a awesome exercise machine called the “New Step.” It is a low impact excise machine that combines a row boat & bicycle in one exercising machine. You can be a total beginner & in poor shape starting out. You can start on this machine at level 1. You can work out for starting out at 5 minutes length of time. Then you can go up to 10 minutes at a time. And work your way up to 15 minutes at a time. You are working on burning calories & also working on how many steps you can do. You slowly build up your strength & endurance. It is so easy to do & not too hard to start out with. You can decide or choose to work out 2-3 times a week (like a Mon., Wed., & Fri.) to excise regularly. It is not to hard to do, & it helps you to be able to get stronger without hurting your self. I have been trying to work out for 6 months now. Some days are easier & some days are a struggle just to try. But you don’t have to be discourged because if I can do it so can you make it. Over all, I would say that there are a lot worse places to go to but they try to make it more bearable while you are trying to get back on your feet. You can have visits from your husband, or grown up sons & daughters, or your granddaughters or grandsons. You can even have your pets (like dogs & cats) visit you after you can show proof of shots & examination reports. Every Tues. you can get your nails done if I want to look & feel beautiful. They even have counseling services & counselors available to get help with depression if you have struggles with being so deeply sad. They have counselors to help you with any struggles you are having making it hard to cope with your fears & anxieties. They also try to help you with pain management & problems that can flair up off & on. They help with any of your scheduling medical & doctors appointments. And they help arrange rides to & from your appointments you have to get to. They have even transportation for wheel chair patients to & from their appointment, as well as, take you up to the check in desk for your appointment. They give you a card to call them when you are finished with your appointment & ready for you to go back to the center where you are staying at. Some drivers will pick you up at the front desk, & some drivers offer to take you back to your room. Or a nurse or cna will take you back to your room & help you get back in bed, & help you change from your clothes & coat back into your medical gown, along with helping you get back in bed to rest or take a Nap if you are very tired. You sign up go to a group for arts, or color pictures with coloring pencils, or play board games every week.

After surgery, I spent over three weeks recovering at Lacamas Creek Post Acute in Camas, WA. The staff was professional and empathetic. The nurses and CNA‘s I’m sure have many critically ill people to attend to, but always found time for my needs. I wish I could acknowledge all of them, but a couple come to mind. Eugenia was very thoughtful and efficient. Lindsay was more than kind and understanding. Lily and Christina both were friendly and made me feel at home. And my room housecleaner Katrina always brightened up my day. After my surgery, I discovered that I needed to learn to walk again! The PT/OT staff gently helped me through the basics I needed to get stronger – Aaron, Gina, Gabby, Anya, Chris, and of course Dakota, the boss, who kept them all busy! I had never been in a rehab before but found Lacamas Creek to be clean and orderly, with an attractive lobby and wide hallways. It had three patios, available for fresh outdoor air. The shared rooms were really semi-private, with ample space. I want to thank everyone who supported me through my recovery and give the facility and everyone a five star rating. Thank you.

My mom needed rehab after leaving the hospital and ended up here at Lacamas Creek Post Acute rehab. She appreciated all the care she received from the nurses and CNAs. She was at this facility about a month. She enjoyed visiting with the staff and really liked her PT/OT team and their care and treatment plan. She especially enjoyed chatting with her case manager, he treated her like royalty. Since my mom lives with me I was interested especially in her treatment plan. I like how they had involvement from therapy, nursing, dietary, and the case manager going over her care plan. They listened to my concerns, suggestions and was always ready with an answer when i asked. I would highly reccomend this rehab facility to anyone who seeks excellent care for themselves or a loved one. I would drop in day or evening and my mom always had something nice to say about ppl on her care team, ppl who cleaned her room, bathed her or any person concerned with her care at this facility

I’ve never had such wonderful care and help getting rehabilitated to the point I could go home! The staff deserves a pay raise because they are so good at what they do. The are caring and so professional. Special thanks to Kelly and Maria! I nicknamed her fluff! The administration is exceptionally good in helping you get in and out. The nurses have been unbelievably kind and caring!

Father-stroke victim, sent to Lacamas Post Acute for rehabilitation in speech, occupational, and physical therapy. August 11- September 5> not able to stand on own, feed himself, or walk upon release. According to paperwork from facility he was able to stand and walk 120 feet on his own. This was reported to insurance company and he was kicked to the curb. NEVER SEEN SUCH UNDERSTAFFED INCOMPETENT GROUP OF THERAPISTS IN THE LAST 5 MONTHS AS I WITNESSED AT THIS FACILITY. If you want your loved ones to get good care management DO NOT send them here!!!

I was here for just 9 days and 8 nights, and was treated with the utmost care from everyone. I had ankle surgery and I needed to work on balance and strength, which Pt and Ot did the trick. The food was tasty and a couple of choices were available. I would highly recommend Lacamas Creek.

Would highly recommend never going here or taking a loved one here. My 83 year old grandma was here after leaving the hospital. She is diabetic. They have not given her any special diet to control her blood sugar, she eats just whatever everyone else is eating. They let her blood sugar get so low for hours, that she needed a glucose shot. They didn’t have one to give her?? Called paramedics to give her one and take her to the hospital. She was extremely out of it, not responsive, and went stiff on her left side. She had an MRI in the hospital and it was found that she now has brain damage because of this episode. On this day, a nurse also gave her an antibiotics that was meant for the lady in the bed next to her. The antibiotics had sulfur in it, which she is allergic too. When she got to the hospital, we found many bed sores and on her back from them not moving her. We will be filing a complaint with the state.

I was there for about 2 mounths after a hip replacement surgery,,, the nurseing staff in the short stay wing…… EXCELLENT!!! Nicole, Sergio, Josh and Adreianna all went over and about CNA’s Chris and Kelly where great….. now for the bad…… kitchen staff sucked… I had more problems getting what I wanted both in amount of food or (you have 2 chose’s) for the most part ham or turkey….. not a great variety……. I saw 1 hamburger the whole time . very disapointing…. the PT and OT are top notch…. Dackota and Arron are both great the new gal in OP (young blonde) pushed me on my upper body strength.

The staff was very lack luster in doing they jobs right. Hardly ever did my medicine or wound care on time. There was a couple of times I had to do my own wound care cause they didn’t. Missed a couple doses of my antibiotic cause a nurse had said a sonneting that wasn’t true

I spent roughly 2 months at Lacamas Care last year after complications from Parkinson’s Disease and a fall. I also experienced Parkinson’s psychosis. The positive experiences I had were the following: Extremely clean surroundings, the nurses, CNA staff were pleasant to me, my medications were methodically given to me daily( there were a lot of meds) and my room was spacious. Some less than adequate issues was the food was very bland and for me inedible. I stress that it wasn’t just a small handful of subpar food but all meals were rather lacking in flavor. Another issue was the physical therapy dept which needed some organization and perhaps new staff. All in all the staff was pleasant.

Name change didn’t improve services here. Unless we were physically on-site and monitoring care, patients are neglected. Today mom fell, with staff assisting (we weren’t there) and mom was left waiting to use the bathroom…and left inside until her roommate came in to help. Also meds were neglected.

My family went to this retirement home yesterday. We requested water for my Grandpa and nobody came and brought him any. We asked the front; they said they would bring it and they never did. We even pressed the button numerous times. My Dad had to go and get a bottled water for GUESTS. He said it takes up to an hour to an hour and a half to help him when he needs it. He was recently diagnosed with Cancer and was sent to this place by the hospital. Please do NOT GO HERE. They do not CARE
