At Lacamas Creek Post Acute, we wouldn’t be able to deliver high-quality care to the community of Vancouver, WA without our amazing staff. All our employees here, from our clinical staff and skilled nursing team to administrative and support roles, bring a level of dedication and care to their work that allows our patients to progress and thrive.
Cheryl Moulton, our Director of Medical Records, exemplifies all these qualities. As our most tenured employee, she has spent nearly her entire professional healthcare career within the walls of Lacamas Creek Post Acute. She represents all of the values that we hold dear to our hearts.
Cheryl Moulton’s Story

Cheryl’s healthcare career began in 1974 when she joined the facility as a nursing assistant while still in high school. Encouraged by her mother, who worked in housekeeping, Cheryl stepped into healthcare at a young age and quickly found her calling. After a few years as a CNA, Cheryl Moulton decided to further her impact on resident care by becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. She enrolled at Clark College in Vancouver, completing her LPN certification before returning to Lacamas Creek.
From there, her career continued to evolve. She worked as a medication and treatment nurse, later taking on roles as an admissions nurse, infection control nurse, CNA instructor, and staff development coordinator. Each position added to her skillset and deepened her understanding of how to support both residents and staff.
In 1984, Cheryl transitioned into medical records. As Director of Medical Records today, she plays a vital role in maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and organization across the facility.
Celebrating Cheryl
Over the course of her career, Cheryl has seen the facility grow and change in many ways, including shifts in leadership and ownership. Through it all, she has remained a steady and reliable presence.
“Cheryl’s commitment to Lacamas Creek, the City of Camas, and the community as a whole has been nothing short of remarkable,” said Administrator Caleb Malychewski. “Her longevity is an invaluable asset – she brings decades of experience that have shaped the way we approach medical records, timeliness, and accountability.”
Her long tenure has allowed her to contribute not only through her work, but also through the continuity and perspective she brings to the team.
A Workplace That Feels Like Family
For Cheryl, Lacamas Creek Post Acute has always been more than a job. It’s where she built meaningful relationships and lasting connections. Several of her family members, like her parents, brother, and nephew have also worked at the facility, making it a true family environment. It’s even where she met her late husband.
That sense of connection extends beyond her own family. Cheryl values the relationships she has built with coworkers over the years and believes those connections are a key part of what makes the workplace special.
“I just like being able to feel like I’m making a difference,” she shared. “As long as I can make a difference for everybody, I will stay here.”
